Ink first.
Midnight second.

Two visual directions for the same product idea. Ink is the primary sample: paper-bright, restrained and readable. Midnight offers a colder, near-black alternative.

Matched concept comparison: Both films intentionally use the same synthetic distance, time and pace so the styles can be compared directly. They show different synthetic seasons, subjects and journals; neither is a customer result or testimonial. Local OpenStreetMap street geometry is real.

Ink — New York concept sample

Bright, editorial, printed-page calm. This matched-stat concept uses a synthetic warm-weather subject and journal to demonstrate Ink.

WhereNew York

Film description: A sunlit demonstration runner appears over a pale New York map. The synthetic journal moves from an over-fast start through fading pace to an honest reflection after the finish.

Concept sample — not a customer result. A paid pilot would use the runner's own compatible GPX, TCX or FIT file, one authorized photo and runner-approved words.

Hamzah · founder and maker
Every early film passes through my hands.

I check the route, the photo crop, every selected line and the finish before a runner receives the private film. A real captioned process clip will be added only after it has been recorded and approved.

A note from the maker

The runner stays the subject.

“I’m Hamzah, the maker behind WhereYouRan. I built it because a watch can record the route and still miss what the day meant.”

This is a small, founder-run pilot. I prepare and check every accepted film personally before delivery. I am present as the maker and listener; the runner, their words and their finish remain at the centre.

Questions

Before requesting a place.

Is this a checkout?+

No. The email form only requests pilot details. WhereYouRan confirms compatibility, scope, timing and payment instructions before an order begins.

What does the founding price include?+

One founder-checked 38-second 1080x1920 vertical MP4, private viewing and download delivery, personal use, no watermark, and one correction round for factual wording, metadata, crop or legibility issues. The first 10 confirmed pilots are 100 kr / €9 each.

Are the New York films customer examples?+

No. They are concept demonstrations. They intentionally share the same synthetic distance, time and pace for style comparison, but use different synthetic seasons, subjects and journals. Their street geometry is based on real local OpenStreetMap data.

What do I need for an accepted film?+

Your own compatible GPX, TCX or FIT activity, one race-day photo you have the right to use, display name and race facts, three short answers, and an Ink or Midnight choice. No-GPX route reconstruction is not sold in this pilot.

Will my run be published?+

No. The pilot is private by default. WhereYouRan does not publish a route, photo or finished film without the runner's written permission.
